Hi everyone!
The Museums of the Gorge are meeting on Tuesday, October 26, from 10am-3:15pm at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center in The Dalles, Oregon. Box lunches are available for $15 from the museum cafe. Pre-registration is required to attend, and you can register by calling 541-296-8600 ext. 201.
The program includes networking, a presentation from Jennifer Karson Engum (Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation) “Working Together for the Ancestors: Understanding NAGPRA Museum Fundamentals in 2021”, and a discussion and Q&A with a panel of Tribal NAGPRA representatives.
Museums of the Gorge is an inter-state networking group that brings together museum professionals, board members, volunteers, and local history buffs in community and friendship.
