Artist and photographer Nolan Streitberger will share an in-depth look at his creative and research process behind documenting Oregon’s Trail of Tears. Through his presentation, Nolan will trace the evolution of the project—from the early stages of historical research and fieldwork to the photographic methods used to capture the landscapes that hold the memory of displacement and resilience.

He will also discuss the collaborative and practical aspects of bringing the exhibition to life, including his partnerships with the Albany Regional Museum to secure grants, manage production costs, and develop the public-facing components of the exhibit. The presentation offers an intimate view into both the artistic and logistical journey of transforming research and vision into a fully realized public art experience.
