Description
Discover Clackamas County’s Rich History
Explore the past at the Museum of the Oregon Territory (MOOT) and the Stevens-Crawford Heritage House (SCHH). Through our two museums, the Clackamas County Historical Society (CCHS) collects, preserves, and shares our local history.

Museum of the Oregon Territory
Uncover the history of the Willamette Falls area, from Indigenous People to pioneering industries. Starting in May 2025, explore our new exhibit, Jennings Lodge Camp: A Gathering Place for Community, Faith, and Revival, celebrating a historic camp that shaped the spiritual lives of thousands in the Pacific Northwest. Discover the legacy of this historic gathering place and learn how it evolved over time.

Experience the sweeping history of Clackamas County. Perched above Willamette Falls, MOOT offers stunning views and captivating exhibits. Do not miss the original 1850 Oregon City plat map, a piece of the Willamette meteorite, and countless artifacts highlighting the region’s past.

Stevens-Crawford Heritage House
Step back into early 20th century life at SCHH, a 1908 American Foursquare home with exhibits like Fashion Through the Ages, featuring women’s fashion from the late 1800s into the 1900s.
