Located at 52432 SE First Street in Scappoose, Oregon, the historic 1902 Victorian home was built by James Grant Watts who was a founding father of Scappoose's growth and government. Grant was the grandson to William Watts who came to Oregon in 1852 from Missouri across the Oregon Trail.

We have the home displayed as it would have been furnished from 1902-1940.

We have many Native American objects from the Chinook Indian tribes who lived in our area during the 1800s.

Extensive photo collection from 1850s to 1950s.

The home is open for tours Saturdays 10am to 2pm where you can learn about the wagon trains that came to our area in 1854. These first wagons brought the forefathers of Grant Watts. Learn how Scappoose grew from the Native Americans to todays city.
