Grant: Oregon Cultural Trust Cultural Development

14 Mar 2017 2:02 PM | Oregon Museums Association (Administrator)

Updated guidelines are now posted for 2018 Cultural Development Grants – the deadline for applications is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 21. The application will go live soon.

The grants represent one third of the funding the Trust provides for Oregon’s cultural nonprofits. Other funding includes grants to the Trust’s five statewide partners – the Oregon Arts Commission, Oregon Heritage Commission, Oregon Historical Society, Oregon Humanities and the State Historic Preservation Office – and to 45 county and tribal cultural coalitions that fund local initiatives.

Cultural Development Grants recognize and support significant cultural programs and projects through four application categories: access; preservation; creativity; and capacity. In 2016 a record number of cultural nonprofits received a record amount of grant funding. 2018 Cultural Development Grants are for projects and activities that will occur between Aug.1, 2017 and July 30, 2018.

Trust Manager Aili Schreiner is available for scheduled grant conversations between now and the April 21 application deadline. Please email to schedule a call.
