Museum Education Outreach Assistant - Oregon Historical Society

01 Oct 2018 10:21 AM | Oregon Museums Association (Administrator)

Oregon Historical Society (OHS) is currently recruiting for a Museum Education Outreach Assistant for a Fixed-Term, Part-Time position. The Museum Education Outreach Assistant is responsible for supporting the Education Department at Oregon Historical Society with the implementation and maintenance of its Traveling Trunks program, and assist with other education outreach programs as needed.

The Traveling Trunk program is a school outreach education program at Oregon Historical Society that literally puts history into the hands of students through sending out curriculum based trunks filled with touchable, holdable artifacts and learning activities. The trunks allow students experience history first hand where they may not be able to travel to the museum. This is just one of the exciting outreach programs this position will support.

This position is non-exempt with an anticipated schedule of 15 hours per week and an hourly pay rate budgeted at $16.00/hour. This position does not qualify for participation in the OHS benefits package.  This position does not provide relocation assistance.
