2022 Conference Scholarships

OMA Scholarships to the 2022 WMA Annual Meeting

Oregon Museums Association (OMA) is pleased to announce scholarships to the 2022 WMA Annual Conference. Through our scholarships, we strive to grow access to the resources we provide, and create an inclusive environment that welcomes and values the diversity of the people we serve. Anyone who would benefit from financial assistance for attending the conference is encouraged to apply. We prioritize applications from the following:

• Members of traditionally and currently underrepresented and under-resourced communities
• Early or mid-career museum workers
• People traveling over 150 miles
• Rural and small museums

• OMA members
  

Scholarship funds come from the proceeds of the Silent Auction at the Annual Conference. This year we have $1,000 for scholarships from the 2019 Annual Conference (the last year we held an in-person conference). 

Application process 

Please briefly tell us about yourself, explain why you are asking for assistance and how you will benefit from this opportunity. Note the amount of money requested, broken down by category (travel, lodging, registration, food). Please limit the application letter to one page.

Applications will be reviewed by OMA board members and evaluated based on the priorities listed above. Successful applicants will be required to write a brief essay about the conference, which will be published in the OMA monthly newsletter.
