Zimmerman House & Heslin House Museums
http://www.frwhs.org/ Admission. $3, children 12 and under are free. Groups accommodated by special arrangement.
The Zimmerman House is a unique cultural education and recreational resource that is being created for the benefit of the public on a 5.98 acre site in northwest Gresham. The focal point is the historic Zimmerman House, a Victorian era farmhouse which was built in 1874 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Zimmerman Heritage Farm Master Plan (8.03MB .pdf ) has been completed and construction is progressing as funding becomes available. The educational and interpretive focus of this historic house museum is the heritage of the Zimmerman family and dairy farming in East Multnomah County. When the long-range, phased implementation is completed, the cultural heritage education and recreation facilities, programs, and special events and activities will become an enduring benefit to the community.
The Heslin House, built in Fairview in 1893.
Both museums are operated by the Fairview-Rockwood-Wilkes Historical Society.
