Thousands of twinkling lights set the Willamette Heritage Center site aglow in a holiday wonderland December 19th through December 23rd.

Animated and lighted ducks and fish swim in the water of the Mill Race while sheep cavort and lighted trees dance to music. Local groups perform a variety of music every night. All ages will enjoy the hands-on crafts, model trains, living history, and other activities. Of course, Santa and his elves will be on hand to hear from children of all ages. For many, Magic at the Mill is a family tradition. Special 3-D glasses that add a delightful ambiance are available for purchase. Many longtime favorite musical groups will be on hand again this year to perform and add their special festive charm. Museum exhibits in the three historic houses and Mill Building will be open for visitors, with WHC docents sharing fascinating stories of pioneer and woolen mill life. In addition to the traditional favorite crafts of making reindeer food and silhouettes, kids can create period Victorian holiday ornaments. Families can search the site to locate Miss Millie’s “lost lamb” while also watching WHC blacksmiths at the forge and the model trains in the PGE building.
