Explore a time when our beaches were highways and when ships carrying all manner of goods graced our coastline. Visit two museums: the Burrows House and Log Cabin. Come face to face with objects from long ago and exhibits that tell the stories of these objects. Stop for a while in the Hands-On History Room and play with reproductions of clothing, games, photographs, maps, and other objects, and hear stories of early settlers. Visit the gift shops in each museum for one-of-a-kind items and many books related to reigonal history or written by regional authors. Go into more depth in the research library, which houses books, clippings, and other documentrs from the past. Ask about our special educational and other outreach programs.
